hey guys, so I am updating to 8.1 for free as I have bought win 8 pro x64. But I have many games and apps installed , so will I have to install all the games and apps again after updating to win 8.1 ? Will those games and apps get deleted after the update to 8.1 ?

Kindly help.

Thanks in advance

They'll still be there. Even though very large (~3.2GB) it's mostly like a service pack. All your stuff will still be present.

As with any major update though, it is wise to have anything absolutely irreplaceable somewhere else and offline, just in case.

Just fyi after you do the install for 8.1, run disk cleanup and clean system files and it will get rid of all the temporary files it downloaded to install 8.1, which is like 4 or 5 GBs if I remember correctly
