Hello guys after upgrading my graphics card to a 7750 I want to upgrade my x2 250 Athlon to Athlon x4 or a phenom x4. My mobo says it has an am3 socket and the x4's have fm2 sockets, do I need to change my mobo? My mobo is an asrock N68-GS3-UCC
I hope I am not wasting your time I don't think they are compatible but hey just want to make sure and spend unnecessary money, also is it possible to upgrade to any quad with this motherboard? |If not the plz recommend a cheap fm2 mother board.
Thank you in advance!

n68-gs3-ucc

Thanks allot mate but this would mean re-installing windows which came with the pc. lso again that's for the suggestion but I have a 32 bit so realistically what's the point of upgrading id I can only ever have 3gb rams on applications. Again thanks for the effort but there is no cheap solution here...

After considering your very helpful answers for a while I have decided to stick with what I have till I have the money for a new build (maybe pc specialist) I just don't think I have the experience and knowledge for this task, the hardest thing I have ever done is replace cpu fan and install gpu. Also apparently installing a new windows may actually delete data (this wasn't the thing that made my mind up). I really don't want to screw up so I will just wait and save up money, again thanks for all the effort.
