Hello, i have 2 harddrives, and i want to reinstall windows 7. I am curious as to if I remove my 2nd hard drive and reinstall windows on the other, will I be able to just plug the 2nd harddrive back in and it will be good to go.
Or could I just leave it plugged in? Will it only wipe the harddrive that windows is being installed to?
Thanks.

It's not required that you remove the second drive, but it is recommended.

Windows 7 and later tends to put a small System Reserved partition on a second drive. Boot information. If that drive dies, or you want to take it out and use it elsewhere...no boot for you.

Having only the target drive connected prevents this.
