If you just want an entry level case you could probably go with 4gigs so you can upgrade to a 260x video card. because you can just go buy another stick later on if you ever feel like it. Or if you want to push over the $400 dollar mark you could get the same ram module as you had before
Kind of what I would do if I had around that budget

$50 for the tiger direct 1tb hard drive http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
So you could probably upgrade to a better case if you could find one, the 230t from corsair is pretty nice if they have wiggle room http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011036ww

With which build? One has the 760, while the other has the 260X. The 760 will perform better. Won't max out those games at 1080, but it will do very well. Here is BF4 "Maxed out" at 1080 though only with 4xAA.
http://www.bf4blog.com/battlefield-4-retail-gpu-cpu-ben...
Notice the 760 "only" gets 40FPS. It will look great/best with that GPU as the 260X is close in performance to I think the 7850 which gets only 30. It won't "max" those games, but it's a great card.

Even the rev1.0 is listed as fully supported here http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Gigabyte/GA-78LMT-S2(rev._1.0).html I would almost just get something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... if the budget allows it. Everyone has been saying that motherboard is great for the fx6300. for cheaper you could get something like http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-970ag43 compatibility can be found here which it does list http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-MSI/970A-G43.html the only problem that I have with 760 boards is the performance. So the best value would be the msi. But the best board about of them all would be the asus
