previous ram was Rendition 2 memory sticks of 1GB ram. DDR3 , 1333Mhz , 240 pin ,

I tried to change (about 10 times) and always have same result. Bios battery put off and put on ; switch off and on electricity of computer, changing postion from 1 to 2 ram place wont help. Maybe i should change options of BIOS? Any suggestions?

what the system board that the ram has to go into. have you check that the motherboard bios is at the last rev the vendor has for the mb so that it has the newest bios code. if your pc a dell or hp run crucial memory advisor and let it read your mb and show you the kits that will run in your system.

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

You need to check the specs on the motherboard and verify the Memory Capability (RAM). It will state the max RAM as well as the RAM capability in each RAM slot.

For example: If it has a total of 8 GB capability over 4 slots and a 2 GB capability in each slot, then a 4 GB module will not work in any one slot. And, the frequency must be supported by the motherboard.

Please post your motherboard make and model number - I will look it up and tell you what type of RAM it will take and how much you RAM you can install.

I don't like to go by what third party (like Crucial or others) suppliers say. They may say things to sell their product.

INTEL DG41WV in internet write it could use 4gb for max. But why it beeps?

Support for DDR3 1066 MHz or DDR3 800 MHz DIMMs
only here i found issue. My ram 4gb use 1333Mhz , but these which are working now 1333Mhz frequency (1gb-2x) too.

Here are the board specs: http://ark.intel.com/products/48621/Intel-Desktop-Board-DG41WV

And you are right, it supports DDR3-1066/800 - not 1333.

It was just a pure chance that your 1 GB 1333 MHz modules worked - sometimes higher frequency RAM will downclock and run - that does not mean that all 2 GB 1333 MHz should work. This is why you are hearing the beep and having other problems.

Please change over to either 1033 or 800 MHz RAM per Intel board specs. Then you can use 2 x 2 GB modules for a total of 4 GBs.

" sometimes higher frequency RAM will downclock and run ". Have any options to make more chance to downclock like 1gb ram stick? I cant just throw away ram memory and buy worse one. :(

First do a complete backup of your computer.

There are some ways to change the RAM frequency and this can be done only on certain stock computers where you have access to change BIOS settings. Some brands like Dell, HP, etc., do not want customers to change certain BIOS settings and lock those settings. I don't know whether your BIOS settings are locked or not. This also depends on the RAM in some cases.

Here are some ways to change the RAM frequency.

Do these things only if you are comfortable with chaging settings. Document the existing settings before you change anything. Sometimes changed settings could destroy components.

I faced the same problem this morning.
Got a message on startup saying 'memory is running low'. Would constantly turn off n turn back on. Then started to beep.
After repeatedly trying to access the bios, i finally succeeded and it showed DIMM3 unavailable.
removed the Stick from tht slot and inserted back again.
Working normally. For now.

Yes typical bad RAM module issue. That is why RAM must be checked one module at a time to find any bad ones. There is "memtest86" for that purpose.

If you have more issues please start your own thread and we will address them!
