Accidental 32 bit install...

So I just finished my first build, and everything is fine in that respect. Then yesterday I noticed that on the system properties the RAM said 8GB (only 3.something usable) and thought oh, I wonder what's wrong there. I didn't follow that up, and now just tried to install something that was 64bit, thinking that's what I had installed, and it told me I was running 32bit.

So I just wanted to know whats the best way to get 64bit from here? Do I just wipe the drive and boot from the windows disc again? Will it prompt me to choose 64 bit?

Also, I've spent the last 48 hours downloading all my games and files onto this new pc, so what's the best way to back them up so I don't have to redownload them? The pc has an ssd for boot and some games, and a 1tb hdd for other things. Am I okay to just back everything up to the hdd, and then have windows reinstalled onto the solid state?

Never done anything like this, so as much help as possible would be appreciated.

Is it not possible to copy a whole steam folder over, or origin? Or is that just the same as trying to copy a single game folder over?

Don't know exactly how steam works.
Isn't the program partially online?
It might work if it is just data, and everything is there.

For example with Flight Sim, I save all the data, for previous flights, but the program has to be install again.

If it has to be installed in windows, It has to be installed fresh.

I see. Well I copied my steam folder over anyway. The worst thing that could happen is that it just won't run and ill have to downliad it again.

As for windows. I just reinstalled it then but wasn't prompted to pick 64 bit or anything. It just installed 32bit. Do I have to do something specific to get it to go 64 bit? Or do I have the wrong install discs?

You were right. I was sent the wrong disk by mistake. I messaged who I bought it from, and they sent a replacement disc that was actually 64 bit. Thought I was going mad!
