Depends what type of gaming you do.

The Dell will have much better colors, but it has a 7ms response time which is quite large.

If you are going to be playing FPS/high-paced games that require accuracy with your clicks/aiming, then you should definitely get the BenQ since it has 2ms response time. Don't ever listen to someone that says there is no visual difference betweeen 5ms and 2ms, because there is a HUGE difference if you are an experienced FPS player. If you are only going to be playing games where delay time doesn't matter, such as WoW, Diablo3, minecraft, etc then go with the Dell since it won't really matter.

Mostly I'll play games like COD, splintercells, Battlefield, then all NFS, etc.. What would I choose? Benq has 2ms response time but TN panel, while Dell has IPS panel but 7ms response time :(

Personally I always recommend a low response TN panel for any FPS gaming. I've seen people improve their skills by quite a bit by switching from a slow response to a faster response monitor.

But I read Tn panels are the first and they have low contrast and brightness quality, etc etc ! :(

It's all about what you want. There is no "best" monitor.

If you want a monitor that performs well for FPS gaming, you have to sacrifice the color of an IPS panel.

Or if you are like me, you can get one TN for gaming, and a secondary IPS for browing/movies. My Asus IPS was only around $140 and it looks fantastic.

ya bro, i know.

I stand by my response since the cost difference between a 21.5" and a 24" are basically negligible.

My gaming monitor is a VG248QE 144hz monitor, so it's a bit more expensive.
My IPS monitor is VN248H-P, and I got it on sale for $168 after sales tax and ewaste tax.

I tried to find the best deal out there right now but there aren't a whole lot of options for under $130 at this time. I try to stay away from anything that's cheaper then that, so i am unfamiliar with the cheaper brands.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is the cheapest good quality gaming monitor I could find. If you do the Mail-In rebate and the promo code that is listed on that page, its a pretty good deal ($130 before taxes). This is a TN panel, oriented for gaming. 1ms is very good for this price point.

I wasn't able to find any cheap IPS screens today. I got mine on sale for an extremely good deal, but prices have gone back to regular since then.

It's really hard to get a quality monitor for under $130.

Also, if you happen to live in Orange County,CA I could sell you a ASUS VS248h-p that I have. It's brand new in box, I just haven't returned it yet. I changed my mind and got that other 144hz monitor instead of this one. But it's a little out of your budget because I would sell it for $140 (shipping not included.) I also have a Samsung 21.5" gaming monitor I don't use anymore, its only about a year old. I would sell that for $100 (shipping not included), but I don't know if I still have the box for it. It's in great condition.

Thanks for the info anyway friend, I'm from India! Who will win in gaming monitors at a certain budget? Asus vs BenQ vs Viewsonic vs Dell vs Acer vs LG vs Samsung?

Some gamers want resolution, some gamers want more than 120FPS. Right now, you pretty much have to choose one or the other so there is no winner, yet.

I've only tried Viewsonic, Samsung, and ASUS. I think my choice would be ASUS.
