windows 8 password help

my second problem is i bought this computer and when i did a restore i wasnt thinking and now it restored to the previous owner to log in when i boot it up. I have no way of recovering his password for his microsoft acct nor get ahold of him. I have a brand new windows 7 i would like to put on there but how do i get into it to delete windows 8?

  1. No one here can or will assist you in removing a password for any reason. Doesnt matter why ya want it removed, no one here can verify you are indeed the owner of said device.
  2. If you have a valid Windows 7 install DVD, simply boot from that. During the install, delete any and all partitions on the drive.
    Windows will then install what it needs.
  3. And for a used machine, you should always wipe and reinstall the OS. No telling what was on there before.
  4. how do i go about booting from cd? I have a asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard and i tried that but caint find out how to get it to boot from cd drive
  5. well i have a brand new windows 7 i would like to do that with just caint figure out how to get rid of windows 8.1 that is on there now

    During power on, F2 or DEL will bring you to the BIOS.
    Set the optical drive as first in the boot sequence.
    Boot from your Windows 7 disk.

    During the install of Windows 7:

    select Advanced.
    Click on each partition - Delete
    You will then be left with one big unallocated space.
    Let Windows install to that
