I have a Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 case along with some Corsair Fans. I've noticed that the 2 Corsair AF120 fans on the side panel were making a lot of noise, but when I took them off the side panel, they made no audible noise whatsoever. Is there a possible way that I can get that same quiet fan noise, but still keep them on the side panel and not have to take them off?

Solution
Try stopping the fans while your system is on. This will tell you if the fan is vibrating the panel or something else is vibrating the panel. or if the noise is coming from somewhere else entirely

Also - if you hold the fan in your hand while its running, chances are VERY small it will make any noise. but if it does, time to replace it.

like @terry4536 said - touch the panel with your hand to see if its vibrating. do the same with the casing on the fan.
If the fan casing is vibrating -- check the screws holding the fan to the side panel.. see if they are loose
The panel itself could be vibrating. Make sure that the fans are secure. You can test the panel by simply pressing your hand against the panel, if the noise stops then you know that the panel needs some adjustment to stop vibration noise. Some vibration absorbing pads may be installed to stop the panel noise..
