I'm looking for a graphic card that I can use for video editing with Premiere. After carefull selection and reviews, I am thinking to buy one of these 2 cards. They are both low profile (my pc is small form factor).
The Asus R7 240 is 128bit DDR3 (1GB) and has 320 shader units and a memory bandwith of 28GB/s, while the Asus GT640 is 64bit DDR5 (2GB) and has 384 cuda cores, and a memory bandwith of 40GB/s.
Which one do you think will fit my needs for casual video editing? Or do you suggest another card in the same price range that will be low profile and will perform better?
I'm using am C2D E8400 on an Intel Q45 chipset with an 8GB DDR3.
