Was wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge about the new titan black as far as a rendering workstation card. Any info on original titan would also be very appreciated. Just trying to figure out if i get a tesla, or if i can save some $ and keep gaming on the same card.

I believe the Titan is more for workstation performance, since the 780 Ti is better for gaming. Titan Black is more for gaming performance, but also a suitable workstation card.

from what ive read about the black so far is that its clocked higher, added more ram, and unlocked the full potential of the keplar technology. Whereas the original titan the drivers for it limited its performance. And the difference in flops isnt major, but for the 'now' at the same price the black seems the way to go. Maybe in a few months the original titan might be a couple hundred cheaper. But trying to determine if i want the new titan z, titan black, or a $3000 tesla card and keep my 770 as well for gaming.

I'm only running single 23" 1080 monitor for gaming, have a 60"led for watching movies for kids, and have another 23" monitor for use with video rendering, i use it for like the preview screen while editing. But not for gaming. I tried running both for gaming, but then the crosshairs for my fps end up in the bezzles and it just sucks.

Oh and software i use, most often is power director 12 ultimate/suite, sony vegas, photoshop cs, autocad 3d, solidworks, blender, rockwell automation software, aimersoft video converter ultimate (i probably use the most often), and for gaming I own most but mainly cod ghosts and borderlands 2. Edit videos like 4 hours a day average, use autocad or rockwell for work so like 4 hours, and game for maybe an hour a day. Thats all average.

And the rest of my pc specs listed are current.

Yea the titan hasnt been produced in the last month or so. The blacks are selling before the companies even have hands on them. You can order one, and then like 2-4 weeks when yours comes in it gets shipped out. Which is fine.
