are you sure there is such a thing
Word doc or docx should be readable for XP (2002), 2003, 2007, 2010 & 2013
MS provides updates to older versions to read & write docX (which arrived with Word 2007)
Similarly with Excel xls & xlsX
What problems are you having ?

In Windows 7 untill you install MS Office or Word (or the free Word viewer) doc files will be opened by Wordpad
Wordpad reads RTF files whether extension is .RTF or .DOC but can not read .docX or Word created .doc files
