Is anyone having issues with Catalyst 14.1 driver??
I'm using it. But the problem is I'm facing black screen. faced total 3times. Screen goes black and pc hangs. I have to restart the pc then manually using button.
I think its not the PSU problem, cz when I play game the GPU use to have 100% load both in core cock and memory clock & VGA Ram also fills like 80%. but then I didnt get any problem. So I dont think it is a PSU problem.
Any one facing same problem???

I installed 13.12 the stable version of catalyst. It worked 2days without any problem. ut today I got same problem once. I checked event viewer in control panel there is no such info but only a critical error. in between so many normal information that is
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
Can anyone help me ???

What GPU are you using? Your profile says a GTX560!!!!! 14.1 is a Beta. Maybe try contacting Jane who wrote: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-catalyst-14.1-beta...

So do you still have a problem with Catalyst 13.12? If not, then this thread now is only academic, not practical. Maybe if you talk to Jane about 14.1, she will provide further info.Plz read the thread carefully. I was using 14.1 & having problem. Then sunder25 said me to rollback the driver So I did to 13.12. but after using my pc 2 days without any problem at the 3rd day I faced same problem twice in a day. today I didnt faced the problem till now. If I face it again I will inform. Its not happening always. very rare. I just want to know why its happening.

I'm sorry but if you are getting a black screen on the r7 260x it is unlikely you will fix the problem.
Just type in 'r7 260x black screen' into google and check the list of results, all unfortunately have not been resolved!
I have this card, but I will be returning it as the black screen happened whilst downloading for 4 hours and losing all of my downloads.

Its solved I think. it is a driver issue. and its the problem of AMD. they have bug on their codes
but in v14.4 WHQL driver I think its solved. I dint get any black screen for 2weeks around after installing 14.4 WHQL catalyst driver

I hope it works for you jayadratha. I've tried almost every driver and have had no luck and it is a vary rare problem, it can happen once a day or once in every 2 weeks. The weird thing is for me is that it usually happens on youtube yet I can play demanding games for 6 hours solid and have no problems!
If you can update me on how you're getting on with that driver it would be useful to know if my card is actually faulty or if it's just the driver.

I'm 90% sure that it is the problem of driver. Cause in every realese note of drivers AMD said that "it may solve the black screen issue in some cards".
1.used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to uninstall drivers. It also deleted intel and nvidia drivers. because in this machine I have used all types of card and their drivers. So check if you too have different drivers
2.Then used AMD cleanup utility.
3.Go to this registry now and delete the following folder totally
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
& if you find anything like this delete that too
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001
4. Now install drive 14.4WHQL
After installing driver these folder again will be created but withing that folder some folders will not be there.
I'm not telling that it will surely solve it.

Hi. I also have the same card and same problem. But I fixed mine. Just underclock the memory clock to 500-750mhz. Thats it. No more black screens. The card is OC by default, and that is too fast for setups and mobo today resulting to crashes and instability. Performance will not be affected. I'm following the other thread of aravind92. By the way I'm not having black screen anymore in the past 1month after installing catalyst v14.4 64bit direct from amd. just got one day at the time of booting. Otherwise I didn't get any black screen. Dont know you will believe or not because I'm also didn't get any reason why black screen stopped.
So I think I should not drop memory clock and should not increasing core voltage too right now. But I will follow if again I saw frequent black screen.
