I upgraded to an R9 280X, the MSI 6 GB version. This one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127786

I also got a new monitor. This new monitor makes for 3 displays, all Asus VE228s. I have to use an HDMI to DP adapter for these they don't have DPs on them. However, when any of the ones on a DP, all my displays on HDMI, even the ones not on a DP, get a thick black border around the physical area of the screen. The one using a DVI cable does not get this. Windows still reports they are all in 1920x1080 resolution. It's not an overlay that blocks viewing of the screen. It's like the visual area has been compressed or reduced. If I drop any of them to 1600x900 resolution then the entire physical width of the display is used. If I disable the display on the DP then the entire physical space of the screen is used. I also can't adjust the monitors physical display settings in HDMI either as the menu becomes grayed out.

How do I fix this? Pics below.
