I have a Dell Inspiron 545MT with a DG33M06 motherboard (Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz, ATI/AMD 3450 512mb 64bit [will be changed out for the R7 250 1GB GDDR5 128bit], stock 300W power supply [will be changed for the 620W SeaSonic], 8GB of RAM DDR2) and I read on the Dell forum ( http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19394447.aspx 5th post down) that this motherboard is only supported to 350W, is this true? I am planning to put in a 620W SeaSonic.

Solution
#1: You don't need to upgrade your PSU to use the R7-250. It is only a 65W card maxed out. That is only 5.4 amps on the +12V rail. Any stock Dell 300W PSU should be able to handle that with the other devices you have in the system. http://www.hwcompare.com/15308/radeon-r7-250/

#2: If you still want to change out the PSU, as long as that MB has the std 24 pin MB connection (it does), you will be fine with the Seasonic. I believe that Dell was sold a server PC, wasn't it?

It doesn't look like a server pc, but I might be wrong. It has 8GB of RAM, so it could of been. Thanks for your help, I will be ordering the Seasonic soon :).
