hi guys,
I would like to know if this is a good pc setup, this will be my first pc build so am quite new to all of this, my budget is £550 max and if anyone has any other recommendations i would apreshate the help like if certain components won't be compatible or powerful enough, would the set-up need to be watercooled ?
Heres a list of what ive found -

Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Motherboard
Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Corsair Builder Series CX600M 600W
Corsair Vengence Memory 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
AMD FX-6300 Black Edition six cores 3.5GHz AM3+ 8MB processor
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB Internal 7200 RPM 3.5" HDD
CiT Galaxy Evo Gaming Case

What do you think ? :)

Looks good at first sight.

Do you want to overclock?

I put an intel system together which should imo for gaming be better and you wouldn't have to worry about overclocking.

This is a great build, Could you tell me if you are going to consider overclocking because if you are I recommend a Hyper 212 evo. I think everything is ok and compatible and the setup will not need to be water cooled, I hope I've helped you and just Post or PM me if you want to know anything else

there are cheaper cases, just picked a nice game case because i couldn't find your pick.
The psu is a better choice. If you want to have a modular one is the next a good choice,
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-power-supply-zm550xg
it's also "gold" rated so should be more efficient and that should pay back on the electricity bill. It's worth the extra few pounds compared to the xfx is what i'm saying.

Thanks for ur answer vic, i will be going with an intel build instead of AMD with what you recommended, i hear AMD can get very hot and are not as reliable , i wouldn't want to mess around with watercooling and all that, so no i would not overclock ( unless it stays cool with fan ) any idea if this pc would be better than a ps4/xbox one? thank you again for ur help

I know for a fact that this build is better than a next gen console because there is better graphics and the GTX 760 included in the build can play most modern games on high - ultra settings and overall it gives much better graphics than the Xbox One and PS4

They both can get hot and are both reliable,it's just about overclocking,do you want to or not.If there's additional heat it comes from overclocking.

In the next review there is a 10fps difference between the fx 6300 and the i5 4440 on hitman absolution @ high 1080p in favour of the i5,
http://nl.hardware.info/reviews/4992/31/intel-core-i3-4330--i5-4440-review-goedkope-haswells-benchmarks-hd-7970-hitman-absolution-1920x1080-high
you won't equalize that by overclocking.and maybe you would, but you needed to get the fx very high and that would mean a good cooler and being lucky with the cpu and motherboard.
