Overclocking a FX-6300 on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3

Hey guys I'm new to overclocking. I have a AMD FX 6300 and a Gigabyte 990FX-UD3 motherboard and would like to overclock my cpu as well as set the memory to DDR3 1866 because its being shown as 1600 even though they are 1866 sticks. Thanks

What Revision is your UD3? The UD3 has a good bios for OC'ing just follow the guides. Be sure you have the latest BIOS, Rev 3 is "FA" last time I checked. Getting your memory to 1866 may be a challenge with the UD3, anything over 1600 on mine causes stability issues. My 8350 runs at 4.6 24/7 @ 1.365v.

The memory speed is board related IMHO, my Corsair memory can run 1900+ in my CHVFZ board.
