I just built my first computer, and it is very loud, especially compared to my previous HP computer, which is very standard. From what I know, noise comes from the fans. The fans on my computer are:
-Heat sink that came with FX-6300
-Two fans that came with the case, Raidmax Super Viper

Is it just loud fans, or something else about my computer? Specs:
-Raidmax Super Viper case
-AMD FX-6300
-450W Power supply
-8GB Kingston HyperX RAM
-ECS A970M-A Deluxe
-Sapphire Radeon HD 7770
-Sandisk 32GB SSD
-Western Digital Blue 1TB

the best thing to do is check the temps and see if there is an issue there making the CPU fan spin fast. Not all fans are quiet. some can be out right obnoxious for noise. HWmonitor will help you figure out what the CPU temps are and the fan speed the CPU fan is running at. The fan should speed up when it is hot and slow down as it cools.

EDIT: AMD stock cooler fans are loud to start with. you can look up the case fans by getting the numbers off the back and looking up the specs to see what the noise level is supposed to be. anything over 17db for me can be annoying.
