I just built a computer and when i connect the hard drive or the ssd drive to that sata ports it doesnt not allow the system to boot up to the splash screen it goes straight to a reboot screen but if i turn off the system and unplug the drives then it will let me go straight in to splash screen and in to the BIOS....help as this is my first computer build

Solution
You need to go into bios and select the first boot device as the optical drive, that way it will boot off the win 7 dvd, so you can install it.
After you install it you should change the boot priority so the ssd is on #1
Good luck!
