Hello, I have recently started getting back into gaming on my desktop. The games I play are World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Diablo3. The reason I am posting in here is because since I started playing CSGO my game would freeze. Immediately, I cleaned out my computer free of dust. Played again and it still had this issue. I have been looking it up, and Ive come to the conclusion it is my GPU overheating. Catalyst shows my temperature right this second at 98 degrees C with nothing running and myself typing this. I've looked it up and it says you don't want it over 80 degrees. That being said I have been looking up Graphics Cards. Now for compatibility with my motherboard. I have also been freezing when I am playing World of Warcraft. I play this the most.

Motherboard - Asus P6T http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T/

Now I know that PCIE 2.0 will work with a PCIE 3.0. My motherboard says I can do either SLI or CrossFireX. Although I am not familiar with either. I just put the Graphics Card in the motherboard install the driver go into the settings and change them to whatever is best settings for max graphics/performance. Not sure if thats SLI or CrossFireX or niether.

Question: In my catalyst control center hardware information it says my current graphics card is 128GB DDR5 with 1024 memory size. Am I able to get a DDR5 256GB (4GB memory size) graphics card? I am looking to get the best graphics card I can that this motherboard will support and run perfectly without losing performance. I appreciate all answers. This question is all I really need I believe. I am not as smart with computers as you guys are, that's why I came to you guys. Thanks for everything again.

Also, what is the best memory I am aloud to get with this motherboard. As I am not looking to build a new computer, rather get the best I can get for what I've got. Best Graphics card for the motherboard and best memory for the motherboard.

What is the make and model of your power supply. The overheating is caused by either power supply or there the fan of your card has gone bad. Also what is your budget and what are the other components present in your computer like model of HDD, processor, ram and the dvd rom.

Seems like everything is good. Sounds like your graphic card time has come. Memory is more then enough for your computer all you need is a good graphic card. Can you tell me the budget so i can recommend a good graphic card according to it.

With your rig and PSU can go most anything, I'd look at nVidia, 760, 770 or even 780, all will be carried by your PSU and rig, I generally look at the Asus CU models, great cooling and OC well
