Hello everyone :) I am currently experiencing problems with my computer when trying to play games which require some performance. These games is for an example World of Warcraft.
So when I open a game like WoW my computer simply shuts down and restart. No BSOD or anything, just plain reboot itself. BUT the computer can easily run Counter Strike Source and League of Legends without rebooting.

Spec:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Processor: Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93 GHz
Ram: 4x2Gb: 8 Gb Total
Board: AsRock P55M Pro
HDD: 500 Gb
GPU: GeForce 660 GTX (Superclocked by factury)
PSU: Colorsit 500w (http://uk.farnell.com/colors-it/500w/psu-colours-it-500...)

What I have done and tried:
- Dusted every single piece of hardware off + fans etc
- Re-installed GPU drivers
- Updated every driver I can think of. (BIOS, GPU)
- Tested GPU with Furmark (No reboot, GPU's max degree: 82)
- Tested with the software Prime95 (No reboot)

What is not causing the problem:
- Overheating, I would be very suprised if it is overheating causing the problem, since my computer reboots immediatly when logging into a game like WoW + I got 3 fans installed moving fresh air in and out

What may cause the problem:
I would put my money on the PSU causing the problem. cause most of the times when opening a game it will start making a high pitch sound
Or it could be my old Motherboard causing the problem.

I really hope you can help me out.

If you think the PSU is causing the problem please give an example of the best PSU to replace it with for a resasonable price :)

On beforehand thanks for the help :D

PS: When testing with Furmark, I have to start with a lower resolution than 1920/1080. Sort of a warm up before I can test my GPU fully. If I just start the test with full resolution it will reboot itself

I'm pretty sure I have never heard of that psu manufacturer. That in my mind is very suspect.

Some factory overclocked gpu's have been know to cause such issues when they do not get proper voltage settings at the factory.

Install MSI afterburner and either increase voltage to the gpu a bit to see if you get stability OR downclock it to the reference settings of a vanilla non oc version and see if that makes the crashes go away.

If all else fails get a power supply that is capable of more than 24 amps on the 12+ rail.

500w quality unit would be perfect.

Something from xfx, corsair ( not cx series ), seasonic, antec, good quality brands.

XFX 550w

Best price i saw for a quality unit.

I also saw some decent prices on EVGA 500w units, although not as good as the xfx ones they are a bit cheaper.
