Which manufacturer's bios or additional software is best for overclocking z87 motherboards?

In other words how happy were you in terms of easyness or plethora of options,
when your were overclocking your z87 motherboard?

The reason I am asking this is because from the reviews I read, performance wise the differences are minimal between manufacturers.and within the same budget.

you dont mess with bios unless is nessesary! newer cpu support for example.performance increase wont be achieved directly from bios update. o/c mobo ability is determined by the built and component quality and the ability to operate flawlessly when overvoling the vrm's (voltage regurator modules) and if these modules have capable cooling(passive or active)

Although the MSI BIOS is easy enough to navigate, I found that the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility was very handy for trying different settings without having to reboot the system: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/des...

It took a little "getting used to" but once you are familiar with the settings involved, it is very easy. This thread was very helpful when starting out: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1722630/intel-god-...

While performance differences can be minimal, you don't want to set your budget too low. My MSI Z87-G43 MB has a 6+2 power phase design and I feel that this is about the minimum that a good Z87 MB should have for OC'ing. Much more important than any BIOS differences.
