Well I had my beloved gateway FX4710 for about 5 years now.
I have only bought a graphic card "AMD RADEON 7950" because my old one went bad.
But I fell my rig is holding my graphic card down :S

Here's all the info I can put so far

All the info should be here :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113075

My pc is pretty modest , thats why I need some advice on some not over the top(price) gaming upgrades.

Like a new CPU and motherboard to start off :D

Thanks for your time!!!

PD: I normally play games like guild wars 2, League of legends, battlefield 4, Diablo 3 but I just feel my PC is not working at the level that I want..not the most demanding graphic games out there but I just want to be ready for future games with more demanding needs.
Slow loads and just slow in general, and a I know that a restore won't help the issue :S and is time to upgrade.

Solution

The difference between Intel and AMD CPUs usually is that AMD CPUs have a lot more cores than Intel but 1 AMD core is equivalent to half of an Intel core and since games don't use more than 4 cores what ends up happening is that Intel CPUs are better in gaming and AMD CPUs are good for multitasking and such. I was thinking about a i5-3570...

Thank you so much you don't know how much it helps.
I was considering for quite a while an AMD CPU because my graphic card works great and is AMD .
I also like the price lol , and the mobo will handle well.
I think I can buy the rest later on .
But is the Intel I5 that much better than this one ?
Because the difference is abismal I just want to know if it is worth it .
And thanks so much again

I was thinking about a i5-3570 for you but it cost about $100 more than the FX-6300 so I was like NOPE! PS. I forgot to add a PSU so I recommend a 500w 80+ Bronze Certified PSU.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I already bought a PSU (Back when I bought my GPU)
Of about 600 W
So I think I'll be good in that sense.
Yeah I always had that question, and I wasn't really into CPU tbh, so I didnt know much about it.
I was like they seem somewhat competitive but the price wasnt lol

600w is plenty (unless if the PSU is bad). Still I have to say that AMD CPUs perform really well and I was surprised as anything when I noticed how much the FX-8350 costs, it's a steal and a half.

Not a silly question at all, people tend to go for the FX-8320 instead of the FX-8350 because the difference is really small and you can OC (overclock) the FX-8320 to match the FX-8350. The FX-8320s normal clock speed is 3,5Ghz and FX-8350s 4,0Ghz so you only need to OC 0,5Ghzs worth which can be done easily. FX-8350 is a bit better for OC'ing than the FX-8320 since it has a better chip so if paying the extra isn't a problem and you do a lot of OC'ing you might as well buy the FX-8350. Also, FX- CPUs tend to run a little hot so it's recommended to buy an aftermarket CPU cooler instead of using the stock one.

Oh yeah I love my 7950 :D
I won't change it in a few years lol(I hope)
I'm just aiming for the FX-8320 (around 139 in amazon) also going with the mobo that rami mentioned the Gigabyte
GA-970A-DS3P and some 8 ram
and I might get a water cooling system when I buy a full tower case.

It'll be hot indeed but with 2-4 fans (or water cooling) and a good aftermarket CPU cooler like a Noctua NH-S12U he should be fine (you will have to think about OC'ing carefully as well)

Yeah I doubt I'll do any OC'ing unless like I said I get the water cooling , that Im getting after I get these two.
But 13thmonkey you mentioned a similar intel( for the price I doubt there's anything close from what I see) :S
I also think Im getting Antec Kuhler H2O 620

I think I'm going with the fx- 8350
Also buying this CORSAIR Hydro Series H75(Unless anyone knows of a good one for the price :D)

Any recommendations for the motherboard one compatible with the FX-8350?
Thanks!

PD: I whish I could buy all this right now.

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+=$139.99(20 dollars rebate)
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 4.0GHz= $200
CORSAIR Hydro Series H75 CW-9060015 =$70
plus tax =30 bucks

Grand total of 440

Does anyone know another store(Currently using newegg)
for a better price?
or any changes in the build?

Thanks for any input and for the time!

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard is still a strong choice.
