Hi guys,

This is my first official post on Tom's Hardware and I'm glad to have finally joined the community.

Recently I've been experiencing some skipping in my games, and some strange sounds that weren't there before, so I've been going through a long list of troubleshooting steps in order to determine the problem.

I looked at the SpeedFan rating this morning and saw that my +12V is reading only 5.63V while not under any heavy load. Is this a bad sign?

I'm using an OCZ 750W Fatal1ty PSU which I've had for a few years.

Here's a pic...

Your 12v being at 5.63v would be very bad... in fact your computer wouldn't be running at all if it were accurate. It would seem that SpeedFan is giving an erroneous reading here

It is best to check your voltages in BIOS since software readings are frequently off.

Thanks rehed and Friedman,

It appears after checking my BIOS voltages all of them checked out to be running at 100%. Further troubleshooting on my part's needed to find out my stability problems.

Cheers.
