I am looking to buy a video card my mother board is crossfire compatible and I am looking to buy just one gpu at this time that is crossfire compatible so later on I can buy the same crossfire compatible to get the best out of both of them. I guess my question is will it be worth it just getting one now and using it till I am ready to get the other one? My motherboard has 2xpcie 2.0 slots (x16 x4) with it being a (x16 x4) slots for my guys would it be worthless to get 2xcrossfire compatibles gpus and just get a monster gpu that isn't crossfire compatible being as the mother board doesn't have 2x pcies x16 slots and it just has 2 xpcies (x16 x4)?

Solution
i would recommend go for either 760 or 770 depends on your budget also since you use only one monitor dont bother to go for SLI or Crossfire it will be a waste which is :(

It won't be too long down the road also I added to the question just now if you could re read it. And thank you so much for getting too my question and posting so quickly.

I have always stayed away from dual cards as there are inherent issues. Well not issues, but you always have to deal with the heat of two cards, and every so ofter you will have a driver issue or something else. I always prefer one beefy card if at all possible. It all depends on your circumstances, but what were you looking at? What specific cards are you looking at and what is your budget? Also, what is your current system?

if you have more than 2 monitors and use high resolution that for example higher than 1920x1080 then its better using SLI or Crossfire, otherwise one high end graphic card will be enough for 1 monitor or 2 at full performance without micro sutter, heat output from dual cards. whats your budget for first card?

so do you have a recommendation on what gpu would be best and efficent enough for me?

As mentioned you have 2 different 8G memory kits. If you want 16GB just get a 2x8GB kit. Here are 2 that are pretty decently priced.

Also, the GTX760 is a great GPU. However, with that board it only supported Crossfire and not SLI. If you upgrade your motherboard one "notch" higher you can support either or, which opens up a lot of possibilities for you. This board supports SLI and CF, it also has better audio and a few extra things. It has an instant discount, $20 MIR, and $10 code. To me that is worth it as you probably won't switch you your motherboard for a very long time.

A GTX760 is a great card to SLI as (2) beat down a GTX TITAN pretty well.

BTW, that PSU has an insanely low price on Tigerdirect. Onsale and a $25MIR making it like $26. I believe they are made by Seasonic too.
