Which case fan to buy for cooling CPU and better airflow

You can connect fans to Fan Headers on the MoBo or by a different method to your PSU.

That XtraFlo fan has a 4-pin header. I suggest you buy 2 of them, 1 in the front for air intake and 1 in the back for air exhaust.

There's a system fan in the right bottom corner of the MoBo and it says "SYS_FAN1".
The second one is right next to the bottom left...

I see nothing wrong with extraflow but check the ones I suggested if they seems better to you.


Gigabyte 970A DS3P has 1 CPU fan header and 2 system/case fan headers.

The CPU fan header is used for the CPU Cooler and the 2 system/case fan headers can be used to connect 2 case fans (I assume the 2 case fan headers on the MoBo are 3 or 4-pin) And that means you can plug 2 fans that have a 3 or 4-pin header to the headers on the MoBo. You can connect a 3-pin fan to a 4-pin fan header on the MoBo just so you know.

The ones you suggested are good but only one is available in India, that is , Corsair one and that is around 800RS, while the extraflo is about 500 rs, Just one more question, Do i have to connect these Fans to motherboard or direct to the PSU?, and approximately where are the case fan headers? ( just wanna have a look at them) and how many pin connecter dos extraflo has?

Yup I am buying 2, One for the side panel and one for the back, The side panel fan will directly effect my GPU which runs a little hot ( r9280x destined to be hot ), Thank you for your support.

How about you buy that?, it's Cooler Master so you know you're getting good quality (Well, I've never heard of XtraFlo) and it's basically the same price!

It's got a fan life or 50,000 hours and XtraFlows fan has 40,000 hours so you're getting 10,000 hours more.
