For some reason, my computer reads my graphics card, uses it for my display and says its updated, but when I try to play games, it doesn't use my graphics card! I updated my windows experience index and my graphics rating went from 7.6 down to 2! HELP!

Hello, how are you? So to start, go to the start menu and write "dxdiag" then go to the display tab and tell me what is written there. Also open the device manager go to the display adapters and tell me what is written there. Is there any exclamation marks in the device manager?

I am fine thanks for asking, and you?

It says:

Direct version is dx11, my display adapter is an AMD Radeon HD 7700 series, approx. total memory: 4095 MB, current display mode: 1366 x 768 32bit 60Hz, Direct Draw, direct 3d and agp texture are all enabled, no problems found (lol), this device is working properly and fully updated and there are no exclamation marks anywhere that I saw. Sorry it took so long to reply.

No.
The specs of my PC are:
AMD FX-6300 @3.5GHz
Asus Sabertooth R2.0
Asus Radeon HD 7770 2GB
1TB Dell Hard Drive
8GB Corsair Vengence RAM @ 1600MHz

Also, when I OC my cpu, the same thing happened but I had to reset my Windows 7. However, this time I was just browsing through YouTube and it changed to Windows 7 Basic. I also have no viruses as I only reinstalled windows 7 64 bit last week and I have AVG anti virus.

Did the AVG anti-virus come with AVG PC tuneup. AVG pc-tuneup automatically changes the theme when it sees the decrease in the performance.

Try going to the device manager and uninstall all the Amd display adapters and restart the computer see if that helps.

Try disabling it and keep it disabled uninstall the amd drivers from the device manager and restart your computer. Then go to the device manager go to the Action and then click on Check for hardware changes. The device manager should start to install the drivers. But before doing all that go to amd site and download the latest drivers for your graphic card and then do all of the above in case device manager is unable to install the drivers automatically.

What are you using HDMI or VGA cable? Can you check the back of your computer and tell me where did you connect the VGA cable is it in motherboard slot or in graphic card slot?

OK, try going in to the BIOS and find "first init. display" and change it to PEG. If you can't find it try sending me the picture of your BIOS main screen.
