Hi, i have few questions would like to ask. Now i would like to install second graphic cards into my computer. The first one is GeForce GTX 660 and i would like to install the same model into my laptop. So, later im gonna use CUDA.

1)Is that possible both graphic cards can be matched( i donno the suitable term to use for both graphic cards working together in same ability) each other because the first graphic card will use for operating system and few things related to power or so on..? What i know, if their power are not same, it will impossible for both of them working with CUDA.

2)Install second graphic card needs to install new driver, so if the second graphic card model (GeForce GTX 660) is same with the first one, so it is necessary to install other driver?

3)Using CUDA, i would like to disable the technology of such as Crossfire (want to disable crossfire between 2 graphic cards. Is that any button to shutdown in mother board? If no, how to disable this crossfire?

4)Is that possible both graphic cards working together if installation in different PCI (one PCI and the other in PCI explorer). So, it still can support?

tq..

First of all you need 2 pci-e slots for 2 graphic cards. There is a simple way too. Can you sent me the model of you power supply. If your power supply is powerful enough then you can buy a good graphic card and run Dual monitors on it. And by the way for 2 graphic card require twice the power thus you at least need a 700 to 800 W power supply. Also if your processor is old then there is no point in getting 2 graphic cards cause new cards will be bottle necked and will not be able to provide their full performance. Same is with the single card. Hope this explain things a little bit to you :) .

Hi, how are you?
First of all are you trying to install the graphic card in computer or in laptop?

Second, if you are installing the same graphic card then the installation of drivers are not needed.

Third, you need 2 pci-e slots if you want to install 2 graphic cards. You can't crossfire b/w pci and pci-e slot.

And in the AMD catalyst there is a option to disable crossfire.
