I put together my first computer 3 days ago and I thought everything was running fine, but today I finally got a temperature monitoring program so I can see how stress tests go. My CPU was idling at 60 degrees Celsius! I opened up the case and found out that a cable was blocking the CPU fan. I couldn't see the CPU in my mini ITX case, because the PSU mounts over the motherboard. I moved the cable, and now the CPU is idling at around 30 degrees C.
I'm running an Intel i5-4670 with no overclock, and if it was at 60 degrees C idle, and higher during gaming for 2 days, is that a problem? Thanks!
