These are general instructions. Each model may be different so be sure you know a lot about the make and model of your system. MAKE SURE TO READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE DOING THE PROJECT, IF YOU DON'T I NEVER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU NOT LISTENING TO MY WARNING.

1. Identify your system and study its components.
2. Identify what components are being used on your system and establish what security measures need to be followed. (Ex. Discharging static or using an anti ESD wrist band).
3. Turn off the system and disconnect it.
4. The best first step in taking apart the system is removing RAM or Memory.
5. Open up the system. On iMacs you need to pop off the glass screen with a powerful suction cup. On laptops you MUST remove the battery and press the power button to get rid of any remaining energy. Then unscrew everything you can on the case. (With a laptop be careful you can destroy wires to components that can be sold).
6. Okay now that your system is open make sure again that you discharge any static one last time just to make sure. (Don't discharge the electricity on the MOBO)!
7. Next you need to remove the HDD or SSD (Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive).
8. Great job! Now this step is for laptop users. Carefully! Remove keyboard clip from its slot. Make sure to remove it from where the clip meets the connector port. The clip might break or the wire might separate from the clip if you aren't careful.
9. Now for desktop users disconnect SATA cables and Fan then unscrew the MOBO. In some cases the MOBO might still be in it's case is so unscrew any other components that might be attached.
10. For laptop users it is a lot more complicated. Unscrew anything that doesn't seem to be holding the monitor in place. Now you must be thinking that sounds unprofessional but it is the truth. In most cases you have to. (No pun intended).
11. Now that the MOBO is unscrewed you may have a minor problem (Laptops). You still have stuff connected. Disconnect them the same way as the keyboard. And make sure the fan is unscrewed it is usually connected to the MOBO. If you want to sell the fan you MUST make sure that the fan is A. Not connected to the MOBO or B. Is unscrewed. Now that the MOBO, fan, and optical drive/disk reader can be pulled out do so now.
12. (Laptops still, sorry desktop people) Flip over the board and/or examine the place where is core is. If it is socketed congrats, free core. If it is smoldered on you must pick between an intact MOBO or a core. I will not include instructions about removing a smoldered core. Honestly you can just google it. It's way better if you do that. Now remove the core carefully by unscrewing the core cover. Congrats your laptop is now all over your table. I will not include additional instructions about what to do with the other parts.
13. Now back to the bored desktop users. You are pretty much done. Just remove the core the same way the laptop users did. Also remove any additional useful parts.
14. You're done! Yay!

This sounds like a google translate. Not to mention it does have a lot of mistakes. Removing the RAM first is impossible in a lot of cases. It is not core - it is a CPU. You can't remove individual cores. Smoldering is different, the correct word you are searching for is soldering. This "tutorial" is rather abstract, incomplete and misleading in few places. You need to work more on it mate. Cheers
