Looking to upgrade Graphics Card for Lenovo M58.

I recently bought a computer from my work for $70. Trust me when i say, the specs are a vast improvement over anything i had.

The specs are:

Intel E8400 Core 2 Duo @ 3.00ghz

4gb RAM

32-bit Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic

Radeon HD 3400 Series 256MB

Also i should note the it has a 280w PSU (which i know complicates things)

Basically I want to run some older games i got from a Steam Sale a highest graphics settings. Games like Age of Empires III, Company of Heroes, F.E.A.R., etc.

Right now they'll run smoothly at low-med settings. F.E.A.R. i have to drop down to 800x600 for it to run smoothly.

I know i have nothing close to a powerhouse, but this machine should be capable with the right GPU for what i want.

I'd like to keep it under $50-$60. I ve been looking and i'm overwhelmed by the possibilities.

Also i'd be willing to drop $100 if i'd be able to play more modern games like Diablo 3, L4D2, etc.

Remember i have a 280 watt PSU, and im trying not upgrade it.

With that PSU, and budget, get the 5450. Its not a good choice, but its the best you are looking at.

Wow thats super cheap! Which is awesome.

I was thinking about this one:

Do you think it'd be much of a performance boost and be worth the extra $30?

it would indeed be worth it but your PSU is too weak...the 5450 only pull 19watt but the gt630 will need over 50watt at full usage and i fear it would be too much for you powersupply...if you could upgrade to a 400 watt or more powersupply (bronze+) then you could get a much more descent card that would allow you to get a lot better performance in games...something like a GTX 650 or a radeon 6670 would match your CPU just fine...

^ Going any better on a GPU would need a better PSU and that would put you way over budget.
