Hey, so I've got an ASUS HD 7770 2GB GDDR5, and it overloads my PSU when I game. My current PSU is an Ultra LSP Series 550W, and I guess I need more. I'm looking at a Corsair CS600, can anyone find anything for about the same or less that gives me 600+watts?
More about : power supply upgrade 550w advice needed
A system with a single HD7770 only needs a 400watt PSU but your ultra is not the best, replace with this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb... XFX quality made by Seasonic!

XFX 550w 80 Bronze http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550s...
XFX XTR 550W 80 gold is one step better than the bronze plus modular.
A good quality 550w would suffice for a single gpu setup

Crashes with heating card could be a faulty card, PSU fault would mean shut downs!I RMA'd to ASUS and they just gave me the same thing again, so it's not the card. I am going to replace my PSU anyway, as Newegg says it's crap. The XFX you all recommend has 2 reviews, and one of which details it dying in a month. Any other units for the same price?

I do not go by Newegg reviews which in many cases are done by people with minimal knowledge, Here a professional review http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=...

Still a tier 3 budget PSU but a hell of a lot better than the Ultra.
Here I count 216 reviews for the XFX on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... But looks like they mixed up PSU's since the new TS can not have 216 reviews.

The XFX looks good, and it's JUST within my budget. Do they make anything a little cheaper?

This seems really good, thanks. I'll leave this thread open for any extra suggestions for a little bit, but this is by far the winner as of this post. I can see why you made Expert in PSUs, great job. Also, do you just not talk?

Corrrupt drivers , Heat , defective power supply , bad card can all cause this.Agreed but expecting shut downs if PSU, had similar issue and turned out to be bad card. Can you try the card in a different computer and see if it takes the symptoms with it.
I'm afraid I can't, and my MOBO has 1 PCIe X 16 lane, so we may never know. All I do have for certain is that ASUS ran whatever RMA tests they have on it, and sent me back the same card. I am in a mATX case with only one fan, so that might be an issue, but I doubt it somehow, as the computer DOES blue screen and then shut off after extended use, pointing to EITHER heat OR a faulty PSU.

Well Asus sent me back ones a netbook with a broken casing that they broke repairing it and another one there was power connection problems in the plug for the adapter that had to go twice to them before fixed! It happens but is annoying to send things twice. That's true, but considering A) I don't have enough money to pay for postage again and B) Eggxpert rated my PSU as a "replace immediately", I have reason to suspect it's the PSU. I'm going with a Corsair CX430, rated 9/10 by JohnnyGuru and 4/5 with 21k NewEgg reviews. Plus, with the rebate, the thing is 20 dollars, so that's a major plus. Will 430W be enough for me? Coolermaster's PSU requirement calculator said I'd need 305 watts, just wanted to verify.

Yes it is plenty for your setup. Hope it solves it but if it does not then contact Asus and demand they pay for shipping the second time around, I have done that twice as you see in my previous post. Thanks for the advice. They'll pay for it next time. Well, I guess that's the end of this thread. THANKS, EVERYONE!
