Swapped a 22 in screen with 19

Ok my 19 inch monitor would not turn on, and my 22 inch would shut of after a few seconds, i managed to take them apart and now i have the 19 inch screen on the 22 inch

now the resolution on the 19 inch screen is that it should be how can i get this to be a smaller resolution?

i am surprised also i have never opened anything up before, the resolutions are 1680x1050 and 1440x900

i have the 19 on and it thins it 22, when i use the nvidia resize thing that would almost work, the only thing i cant do is move left or right

go to system resolution in windows and try to change it to 1440x900
logic says it should work.
if the image will center..i don't know. the screen you are using was not made for that display, and the electronics behind it might not work well together with it.

Okay let's do it like blind bats.
This should work if u have windows 7.

Do exactly as follows, write it down if you have to.

Right click the desktop, click screen resolution.

Press TAB twice

Press enter

Press up arrow 3 times

Press enter

Press TAB seven times

Press enter.

Tell me how you did.
