Asus P8Z77 -- Code 'FF' on new build

I recently built a new system using the Asus P8Z77 WS motherboard and Intel i7-3770K processor. After installing an operating system and enabling NVIDIA drivers, the motherboard onboard diagnostic display (Q-code) would end with code 'FF' after cycling through several during boot. Prior to the GPU driver installation, the last code that would be displayed was 'A0'. The system appeared to be functioning fine in both code-states.

Now, while nothing appears amiss, I have been unable to get a defnitive answer as to the meaning of Q-code 'FF'. Asus support said that code was reserved for "future use"'; however, I've read where different manufacturers use codes within the range F0-FF for their own purposes. Is something to be concerned about (I'm still within the RMA period)?

If you own this board, what is the last code you see after booting successfully?

SR-71, thank you very much for your reply. I've previously looked at the post you've mentioned and I'm not sure its as pertinent for Asus boards as it may be for others (at least not currently as it was from 2011). I've had absoutely no POST issues at all. Additionally, the link seems to indicate that unofficially Asus would declare this to be the result of a short; however, a short that is tied to a specific GPU driver seems unlikely. In this case the code occurs anytime the closed-source Nvidia drivers are used on Linux, but not when the open-source Nouveau are used instead (with the same GPU). I got the same behavior on both Debian "wheezy" and a downstream distro (Ubuntu).
