Hi guys so first of all I already have a GTX 660 in my system. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 and only 4gb of RAM (unknown speed). Is the processor and RAM bottlenecking the 660?

Anyway, I have about ~$70 to spend and I need a set of 2x 4gb sticks with at least 1600mhz DDR3, and it must be 1.5V and below because on my list I am getting a 4670k. Here is my list so far:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($227.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $337.98

I do NOT plan to overclock yet with the GPU or CPU. Is the stock fan for the 4670 enough by the way with no OCing?

Anyway, I need a good set of RAM before I can purchase my new parts.

Any comments/suggestions on anything are welcome.

Your current CPU is a bottleneck. Your new CPU should greatly increase your FPS.

Your RAM is fine, 4GB is enough for any game. If you have multiple programs open such as Photoshop along with Chrome, Steam, and BF4 you would want 8GB. Something to note, your motherboard will cost a bit more if you don't buy from MicroCenter (they are extremely cheap). You can only buy from them in store and there are very few actual stores, so i'm hoping you live close to one.

All of this RAM matches your requests:

Is there any performance disadvantage for the non-k besides no OCing?

Same with the H87. Any disadvantages/advantages?

I meant as in capabilities. Like higher/lower RAM allowance and SLI capability?

Okay. Also some guy said this to me:

The stock fan should be ok for not overclocking but it will get a bit warm when gaming. These two selections are from Corsair and you can also use GSkill ram as it is very much similar to the Corsair.

With the two corsairs at the top, is there any difference really beside looks? He won't answer me.

Okay thanks. And thank you gumbykid.

This question is for both of you. Is this bundle: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8588420&SRCCODE=WEBGOOPA&cm_mmc_o=mH4CjC7BBTkwCjCV1-CjCE&gclid=CNv_18fKuL0CFU4aOgodwV8AxQ worth it? Is that RAM good? The bundle with the coupon is at my general budget.

That specific RAM model isn't sold much anymore, so if something goes wrong you may have a rough time returning it, but it shouldn't be of much concern, just something to keep in mind. The motherboard has a bad rating on Newegg (3 stars). On paper it looks good, but many people said it was unstable and didn't perform correctly. It's a risk but it should also perform well if you get a good one. The CPU is great.
