Can too many fans increase temperature?

I tested out my CPU temps with 1 exhaust, a CPU fan, and 1 intake. Now I added a 2nd intake, switched some fans around, but kept the CPU fan the same. Full load of Prime95 increased from ~46 degrees C @ 10 minutes to ~55 degrees C after 1 minute.

Why?

Turbulence?

'More fans' is not always a good thing.
Cool air in, warm air out. Not just 'blow it around inside'.

Yes, if you have the fans incorrectly flowing or have way too many, the flow through the case can be compromised and hot air will stay trapped in the case.

Correct:
front = intake
top = exhaust
rear = exhaust

That is how I have it... but with a bottom intake as well. It's like this:

But they are all high static pressure fans. Not the cheapo kind.

Sometimes high static pressure fans are not good for cases. They move air in a straight line, not moving it throughout the whole space. Static pressure fans are meant for heatsinks and radiators, not case fans.

Would one be good for exhaust?

I would remove your bottom intake and leave the rest as they are.

So you onl;y have a front intake, top and rear exhausts.

What type of CPU cooler do you have?

Tried it without the bottom intake, and temp was still higher. It just doesn't seem to work with a high SP fan in the front intake. So I'm gonna try it with a CFM fan in the front intake.

It's a Hyper 212 EVO. I put a better fan in it. It has a Silverstone. better temps.
