Hello everyone! First time posting here. I was hoping you guys would be able to help me with something. Some of my games are no longer playing in 1080p, the highest resolution I have available is 1024x768, my desktop is still 1080p. I have played those games some time ago in 1080p. I think it all started when I tried updating my drivers, but then I simply got a blank screen and my monitor saying it had no input. I tried rolling back the drivers, but the damage was already done. I've tried erasing all nvidia drivers, and then installing it from scratch, the problem still persists. I've scoured google (that's where my researching abilities end) and found nothing. My rig looks like this:

intel core i7 2600 @ 3.4ghz
gtx680 2gb vid card
16 gb of ram
monitor is is a 22-inch dell HD monitor

If you can, please help!

Have you gone into nVidia Control Panel and set the resolution

Yes, sir, that was my first solution. Mind you, it says that my PC is in 1080p, which shows on my desktop. But then when I try to play some games, they only give me the option to set it to 1024x768. I'm not sure if this is significant or not but, on the NVidia Control Panel it states that my monitor's native resolution is 1024x768. Just to add a few examples: I can play Crysis 3 in 1080p without a problem, DMC however gets stuck with the lower resolution.

Your monitor is native 1080, so would set that in control panel, also check in control panel and see if the it's using it's drivers or just standard VGA drivers, the monitor has it's own drivers here:

Tradesman, thank you SO much!!! I've never loved a complete stranger more than I love you now. Thank you!!! On another note, I'm not sure how my monitor's driver went kaput... Again, you've given me back the joy of gaming, thank you!! Just as an FYI, control panel still says that my native resolution is 1024x768... although it is no longer affecting the rest of the games.
