new PSU causing issues

i have an asus CM 1730/1830 bios, ust got a new PSU for my new graphics card, when i plugged mother board power in, i had power, turned comp off, plugged in peripheral power and i didnt have any power, even with old graphics card, tried other plug ins too, what could have caused this?

PSU: Dynex 520 watt
GPU : geforce 660 TI

Put the old PSU in. That is not exactly a wonderful PSU manufacturer.

So the old setup works? I would guess it is the PSU. I would return it and get a Seasonic or Corsair. The PSU is the MOST important part of a PC.

Sounds good. If it does not fix anything, return it. I use a Huntkey X7 900W, not exactly a wonderful PSU manufacturer. However, the unit I mentioned seems to be an anomaly from outer space in a parallel universe where Huntkey manufacturers good units. Clearly the Enterprise must have brought it back on one of its incidental trips to another time space continuum. Hence, why I still use it.
