Installed ek-fb R4BE watercooling pieces, & was going to install apogee 4-port waterblock -

will I have to remove mobo to use their backplate?

It's recommended, because if you try install the waterblock with your MB mounted you may push back your MB (just a little bit) and break a transistor line.
