Hi,
I have a dell xps m1330.
It had a startup problem because of a broken power connector on the motherboard so I purchased a used motherboard and installed it.
Currently it powers on then states that there is no bootable device, I opt for f5, runs for about 1 minute than crashes.
Cleaned and repasted CPU. Acts like overheating, fan runs and is clean.

Thank you for that info. I had spaced that out. I shall do a reinstall. I realized that the fan from the first motherboard differs in size and length from the fan of the replacement motherboard; gpu is located in another area and the style fan has to be replaced. I'm hoping that's why it is overheating. You can place your finger on the gpu and it becomes warm quickly.
