So I'm having issues with Diablo 3. Not being an expert, but knowing enough that I should ask people with more experience than me, I'm wondering if anyone can pinpoint where my problem might be. The game runs smoothly in spurts, but any time there are a lot of things on screen, action slows to a crawl. Sometimes it happens even when there aren't a lot of things going on. And then there will be a short (2 seconds usually) "catch-up" where everything moves super fast for a few seconds. It's extremely frustrating to have to play two difficulty levels lower than my character is geared for, and to not be able to play with my friends at all.. here are my system relevants :
Processor Intel Quad CPU 2.40 GHz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT card. Drivers all up to date.
Operating system - Windows Vista Home Basic
Any insights (and fixes!!) for my issue would be greatly appreciated, I suspect my graphics card but I'm not positive. If you think it is, can you suggest a reasonably priced alternative? Nothing over 250$. Thanks!!
