This is my first build and would like the community opinion. The primary purpose of this PC is for gaming but will be doing some programming on it as well. When select the parts for my PC, I kind of went with the most popular votes on new egg and what I watched on YouTube.

I am unaware on how to hide this and make this prettier please don't bash me for my ignorance.

Can anyone out there let me know if there will be any compatibility issues?

Thanks

I dont see a GPU? i would say overkill on the motherboard. for 2000$ i would want a 6 core intel, and at least a 760 for decent gaming

Your motherboard and cpu don't match. You have a z87 motherboard which is haswell, like the 4770k. Plus, id rather get the 4770k vs 3770k. Not much difference, 4770k is less than 10% faster, but it is faster, newer, and should be roughly same price. If you do want the 3770k, you'd need a difference motherboard.

CPU cooler? Why 3770 instead of 4770? OS? ODD? Get a smaller SSD - say 120 or maybe at most 240GB for OS and a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD for data - games, documents, emails, etc. Level 10GT is really expensive. Have a look at cheaper. Go through reviews for everything. Does $2300 include monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers?
For $2300 US you should be able to get something like - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...
or for half that - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

this is a MONSTER!
for gaming this is perfect, TONS of GPU power and a CPU that can keep up

For gaming AND editing, modeling, and rendering machines, you could cut back a GPU and get a 6 core i7 for more CPU grunt.
