I just bought motherboard ASUS P8Z77 V LX2 and Corsair RAM Kit CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B (2x4GB sticks vengeance blue). So, I've got two questions here:
1. The RAM stick is not listed in my motherboard's QVL. Does this mean it won't accept my sticks?
2. There are 4 slots for the memory stick (2 blacks and 2 blues), the ASUS user manual recommend using the blue slots (DIMM_A_2 and DIMM_B_2) for better overclocking (but I'm not overclocking) while I;ve read somewhere that it's recommended to fill the one with the smallest numbered/lettered first (which will be the black ones : DIMM_A_1 and DIMM_B_1). What's best?
thanks

If it's not listed, it means the manufacturer hasn't tried using those and verifying if it works, you should be fine.
If the manual says to do the dual channel I'd do that. You can always try a memtest to try whichever dual channel works better.

a little off topic, I bought seasonic SS-500ET and just realized that there's no cable that will connect the PSU to the power line. Is this normal? I should buy my own cable for this? thanks

No, it's not normal. Usually every country by law, when there's any electronic device getting to a power line it should get some kind of certification to know that what it's being sold it shouldn't fry or anything by plugging it. You should ask whoever you bought it from the cable.

Seasonic should provide their cable, but if you bought it from retail, usually they change it to match for the common cable it's used in that place/country.

I also saw some video in youtube that we need to update the bios for motherboard by pressing some button in the motherboard and wait until the LED is blinking (but in the video, the guy is using P8Z77 V --> without LX2). Do I have to do the same with this motherboard? because I couldn't find any such button in the motherboard. thanks.
