Hello forum!
I recently read a review for the 750 Ti as a PhysiX card and in their test configuration they had an OCed Core i7 4770k. They said they overclocked it, at 4.0 GHz, to avoid bottlenecking.
My quiestion here is: Was it really necessary?
I want to know because I'm building a PC and I really want to experiment with a dedicated PhysiX card (my main GPU would be a 780 Ti) but I'm scared of OCing things for fear of ruining my hardware. Also to know if I should buy a 4770 or 4770k.
Thanks!
Here's the review if anyone is interested: Using Maxwell’s GTX 750 Ti as a dedicated PhysX card
