I have corrupt file in my restore to factory settings can it be fixed ?

I tried to restore to factory settings, I cant proceed because of a corrupt file. can it be fixed ?

Does the computer have a recovery partition? Did it come with a recovery CD/DVD? Do you a Microsoft branded Windows 7 disc?

I assume when you state "restore to factory setting." you mean reinstall Windows. Is that correct?
