Connecting to my secondary router via lan disables my wireless internet

I'm having a slightly strange problem here, its kinda tricky but im hoping somebody can help me out.

I have a network drive that plugs directly into my wireless router which seems to be causing everyone on the wireless network issues lately, so i have set up a secondary hard wired router directly into my desktop and plugged the network drive in there.

Router 1: Wireless, internet access
Router 2: Wired, only connected to network drive, no internet access.

Now to get a few answers out of the way: The network drive doesn't work when directly connected into the PC, it needs to be connected via router, and no, i do not want to disassemble it and stick it in my tower, i just don't.

When i have both connections running, Windows clearly identifies the wireless network as having "access to internet" (which it does), and the lan labelled as not having access to internet (which it doesn't). I can access the network drive perfectly, but even though my wireless internet is connected and is clearly shown as having access to the internet, it doesn't, it just keeps trying to load. Sure enough though, whenever i disable the lan connection, my wireless works flawlessly yet again.

Now im not sure if its possible or not, but i need to have both connections working, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot run 2 networks like that on your PC at the same time. Not sure what problems it was giving you when you had it all attached to the Router #1. You could purchase a small switch and hook the network drive, your PC, and router 1 to it. That way the traffic between your PC and the storage device will not leave the switch so it won't effect the Router 1. But you would still have internet access. You could even use the switch built into router #2. Just turn of wireless, and DHCP. Then just hook everything into the switch ports on the back as described.
