Greetings!

Computer specs:

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core i7 920 2.62GHz
Radeon HD 5870

TV: Samsung LED Series 5, 5500

I am currently having a bit of an issue with my display while using my TV as a monitor for my computer. Pretty much every where on the HDMI source for the computer there is a constant static of sorts. It apears mostly in dark colors and its getting on my nerves! I have tried competetly uninstalling the graphics drivers and installing the latest but still no change. Also tried using the other HDMI connections and a different cable but still the same. What I have noticed however when I use a DVI cable to my normal monitor I experience no issue. Anyone can help me out?

Here is an example of the issue: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=zw0r9y&s=8

If you look to the left you can notice it.

I had the same thing happen while I was using an old westinghouse LCD TV as a monitor, I ended up switching HDMI inputs on the TV and it cleared it up...I had troubleshot the heck out of the video card and PC before I tried that. Do you have a DVI input on your TV? How about VGA, you can go DVI to VGA
