I was recently looking to buy a new laptop, and I saw this one listed on my School's Bulletin - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/satellite-15-6-laptop-4gb-m...

While my only real concern with it is Coding and Design, I was just wondering if this laptop could play any games like Elder Scrolls Online, WoW, or Skryim (doubtful on all, but this one I'm 90% sure It can't run) on Low to Medium settings. Also, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to upgrade the graphics card.

-Thanks!

Yes it will run those games at low to mid settings, but the graphics processor is integrated into the CPU, so it can't be changed.

That laptop will struggle in almost every area. The HD 8400 is not designed for gaming. The only game it will be able to play reasonably well is World of Warcraft. Skyrim and ESO is going to be out of its reach.

Yeah, this is what I was confused about. This website tells me that I won't be able to play those games, but then I went to another website (Listed Below) which tells me that It will be able to run ESO on low to medium settings, and Skyrim and WoW on medium to high. I was hoping maybe someone would have experience with this laptop previously.

I don't have any experience with that laptop personally. However, I do have a 2011 Asus G53 paired with a GTX 460m, which is approximately 3x more powerful than an HD 8400. During the ESO beta weekend earlier this month, my laptop could barely muster medium settings at 1600x900, generally hitting in the low to mid 20's.

Technically, it is possible for that laptop to run what you want it to run, but it likely won't be enjoyable. It would probably be in your best interest to spend a little more and get something with an A10 or a discreet GPU. A laptop with an A10 CPU with an integrated 8650G is roughly twice the speed of that Toshiba, which you can get your hands on for approximately $500.

Unfortunately, not even a desktop that costs $300 ish is enough to really cut anything as far as gaming is concerned, unless you're looking at older games or game with older engines.
