So I recently built this rig on my own, first build.
Don't know too much about computers parts and etc.
So i might be something wrong,
Anywho, I haven't overclocked my CPU yet. Everything seems to run normal.
My normal CPU Temperature is about 58 - 60 Celsius. I have no idea if that's high or low, or just right.
The problem is running certain programs (Like high-end games or Video editing, not something simple like Chrome), The CPU starts hit around 86C
Which does seem to be pretty hot, especially since the main computer control program shows the CPU temperature in a red color, while it's normally blue.
I am using the cooler that came with the CPU, the stock fan and Heat sink.
So I'm not sure, if its just the part that can't keep it cool, or something. Also the CPU fan definitely work. I've seen it by my own eyes and also with the program that came with the computer.
Also, The motherboard Temperature is about 22C to 30C, no matter how hot the CPU is, maybe it'll hit 33C. But it's not a large number like the CPU.
So Is this normal? Or should I be concerned? I usually turn off what's making the CPU hot and it goes down to normal temperature, fairly quickly, as well as , it's not very hot for a prolonged period, i don't know if that'll kill the CPU itself, So i'm trying to play it safe until I actually know what's wrong, if there is anything wrong in the first place.
Also, I'm not too sure if I should perhaps look into better cooling, since i've heard that using the cooling that came with the CPU isn't always a great idea.
If the solution is to get a better cooling system, What should I get, that's decently priced, I have a Antec 302 case as well, if that should give any insight to what will fit or not.
Thank you in advance.
