My PC suddenly turns off after 3-4 hours. First, the monitor becomes turn off, but the sound is still on. Then the yellow light of the cpu turns off. How can I fix this problem? Help me!
My processor core-2-duo 2.8 GHz, RAM- 2GB DDR2, Monitor- HP, Motherboard-DG41RQ.

Your computer is likely going to sleep or hibernation. Go into the power settings and disable both if you don't want it to go into sleep / hibernation.

If there is sound playing, should not be hibernating or sleep mode.

Make sure the case is clean, if you have a video card installed, try either onboard video or a different video card. Check the motherboard for any issues with the capacitors, they can often have issues with those that can cause the system to lock up or shut off.

I think he meant that the sound was playing when the monitor goes into power save, later the power LED turns off indicating that it's gone to sleep or hibernation. The sound will still play when the monitor goes into power save.
